SET Employee Benefits
SET provides schools with a complete line of employee benefit programs. More than 300 districts entrust their employee benefit programs to us. SET has distinguished itself by implementing innovative health care plans that protect school employees’ well-being while dramatically reducing districts’ premium expenses. All subscribers to medical plans provided through SET Employee Benefits have access to the Best Doctors Check-up service as a value-added benefit. Subscribers use Best Doctors to access medical expertise regarding their serious medical conditions.
Through Best Doctors Check-up, employees receive answers from world-renowned doctors who will work on their cases to make sure a diagnosis is correct and the treatment plan is on target. To access the Best Doctors Check-up program, subscribers simply call Best Doctors at 1-866-904-0910. A Best Doctors Member Advocate will work with the member on their case and guide him or her through the program. Best Doctors collects all the employee’s medical records and test results, which are then reviewed by an expert physician selected from the Best Doctors database of 40,000 world-renowned specialists. The expert will review and analyze the subscriber's case and inform him or her if the diagnosis and treatment are on target. Soon, the subscriber and the treating physician receive a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report. Everything is confidential, fast, and free.
Consulting Services
We are licensed insurance consultants and can prepare Requests for Proposals for health, dental, vision, life and disability plans. SET also helps school districts form pools to purchase health care plans. We are Michigan's school-pool experts.
SET provides enrollment services for our employee benefit plans, as well as assistance with claim or benefit questions. Our knowledgeable Member Services staff is available to help subscribers with any questions or concerns that may arise.
