Property Valuation Program Benefits Members

All members of the MASB-SEG Property/Casualty Pool have the opportunity to have their organization's buildings, contents, and site improvements appraised for replacement value. This is a free service to Pool members, conducted by CBIZ Valuation Group. Additionally, members have the option upgrading their valuation to meet the financial standards of GASB-34 at a preferred rate.

Each member will receive a full-color, detailed appraisal of each building, which can be used to confirm that your district is insured to its full value. Accurate property valuations allow the Pool to report the correct values to its reinsurers, enabling it to obtain the most favorable insurance rates.

This program is being rolled out regionally with the expectation that it will take three years to complete the property valuation process. Members are being notified of when CBIZ will be in their region for the property valuation study.
