Access to SafeSchools Online Training is Free with your Membership!
Now, members of the MASB-SEG Property/Casualty Pool have free access to online employee safety training programs that meet state and federal mandates and help foster a safe environment for the entire school community. Membership in the Pool gives districts access to the SafeSchools online employee safety training programs. These programs address environmental issues, as well as human resources, health, school safety and behavior, emergency management and transportation. The Pool has developed recommended courses that it encourages each district to deploy. Those courses are:
1. FERPA: Confidentiality of Records
2. Staff-Student Conflict
3. Sexual Harassment: Policy & Prevention
4. Managing Disruptive Behavior
5. School Bus Behavior & Discipline
6. Playground Maintenance & Inspection
A district that is a member of the MASB-SEG Property/Casualty Pool, but is NOT a member of the SEG Self-Insurer Workers' Compensation Fund, has access to SafeSchools courses that address property and/or liability risks.
