Cobra Administration

This service was designed to help school districts avoid potential penalties related to offering COBRA to employees and dependents losing coverage due to employment termination or other reasons. Through this service, we can help your district alleviate administrative burdens by issuing required notices, managing COBRA enrollment, and collecting payment for COBRA coverage.

Service Includes:

  • Required employee and dependent notifications, including:
    General notice when an employee/dependent becomes benefit eligible, and; Election notice when an employee/dependent experiences a qualifying event
  • Election notice when an employee/dependent experiences a qualifying event
  • Receiving and tracking enrollment or waiver forms
  • Processing participant enrollment with carrier
  • Invoicing and collection of premium payments from participant
  • Remittance of COBRA premiums to school district
  • Participant termination with carrier at end of qualified period or when a manual termination occurs
  • Substantiation of COBRA compliance upon request
